The driver mod will come That's what the instructors are there for They won't let you go out on your own till you both feel comfortable with you not having them in the car.

I have a driver mod.... speaking of which... will the BF be able to drive my car as well as his own if we are both registered?
we will be in different classes, i would just like for him to take my car out for a spin and see its lap time with someone abit more skilled then myself....

Yes he can take your car out in the session group that you registered your car in, but you will just need to fill out a secondary driver form when you get to the track. Being as you would be in Novice group though you wouldn't be able to go as a passenger with him in your car though since he is not an instructor. If he is in A-C he can take you in his car though.
The instructors will also take your car out with you in it as a passenger if you'd like to see what the car can actually do if that is okay with you. Sometimes this helps cause then they can show you and explain to you where and how to handle the car on the course, specially since different cars act differently depending on how they are set up.

I would suggest running the DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid and if you can bring extra to the track in case you boil it. Another suggestion if possible bring an extra set or brakes and rotors if you don't have new ones on the car....specially if running the whole weekend.

Just remember guys, DOT3 is NOT race rated. It will boil well before DOT4. As I stated above I'm splitting the clutch and brake reservoirs to not only deal with clutch dust contaminating my brake fluid, but to upgrade to DOT4 while I'm swapping calipers. You can run DOT4 for the clutch and brake if you want and just flush the system before you hit the track.

Also if some are on the fence about actually participating in these kind of events, you can also come on up and participate in the "Lunch Time Touring Session" It's about 45 min out on the track in your car under slower restricted speeds of 55-75mph no helmets required. And that is only $60 each day. All cars are welcome to come up and participate in that too, even if it's just to say you've had your car ON Road America

Shouldn't really be to much of an issue, he just needs to know that your group may have different passing rules then his group though. Also if running the whole weekend I'd suggest him running on Sunday in your car rather than on Saturday. That way the novice group drivers won't get as intimidated if a car comes up behind them.

Like Bubbles said do both!! If anything you can get registered now for one day so that way you have a reserved spot for 1 day, then if you decide to do both day closer to the event or at the event you just have to pay the difference to equal the cost (at that time)of the weekend.
