I am doing a cruise with some other car people on sunday and thought I would extend the invite to C5G. This is a very fun and organized ride. The leaves are currently changing for fall and the last part of the cruise is through a forest. Here is the info.
What: Sunday evening cruise to get some delicious ice cream
When: Sunday Sept 25, 2011
Meet at 4:30pm, leave at 5:00pm
Where: Start Naperville Portillos 1992 W. Jefferson, Naperville IL (Rt59 and Jefferson)
End: The Plush Horse 12301 South 86th Avenue, Palos Park, IL
I did one a few months ago and everyone had a blast. The route consists of mostly Industrial, frontage and forest preserve roads. So we shouldn't have to worry about getting seperated. There will be a limited number of stop signs and stop lights. It will be a little bit more of a faster ride (10-15over) and maybe open it up in some parts. It will be somewhat scenic so make sure you bring your cameras. The ride should be about an hour and 20 minutes long or so. I may do a quick stop at a forest preserve to do some pics. That is TBA.
Post up if you are in or have questions. I would like to get a headcount.
Oh and yes I do understand the Bears are playing on Sunday but I would rather take the car out and enjoy the last few weekends where it's not too cold. You can always listen to them get slaughtered on the radio
