Cordova Dragway Rental Invite Oct 2

We would like to invite you to join us for our Cordova Dragstrip Rental on Oct 2.

All makes and models are welcome to come, only one stipulation.....we need to have 40 cars prepaid for the event by Sept 14th or the event will be cancelled. (all prepays will be reversed if the event is cancelled).

$50 for cars
$5 for spectators at the gate.

Just so folks know since its a private rental you can get as many runs in as you would like. We have one car that averages about 35-41 passes during the day just hotlapping his car.

Come on, need to check with the board to post a track day on a muscle car forum? This is a bit extreme. I think a lot of dues paying members would enjoy a private track day over mini golf, but a lot will not, so its not like this will steal all potential participants.

Unfortunately neither event checked the date with the commissioner of the NFL, which is already spoken for.

From my perspective both Lawdog and Ends work hard to plan for a years worth of events and for that I am thankful. They are posted well in advance. I know that both Lawdog and Ends would welcome any suggestions from members and associates on idea's for future events. After all it's great that we provide offerings that are diverse to meet all of our respective interests. I believe that what Lawdog is suggesting is reasonable. If you have an idea for future events please let Lawdog and Ends know. It would be great to turn a drag race like what has been suggested into a C5G event. This way we would hopefully have a nice turnout vs just one or two people attending.

If anyone has an interest in helping with events especially racing I am sure that both Lawdog and End would appreciate the help.

This is in suggested meets, not official events. You can't suggest something if there's an official event planned? Seems too controlling to me. It's not like the guy said cancel your golf event, everyone must go to this track rental.

Does it say this only applies if nothing else is planned??

Wow, this behavior pattern started back with my engine thread that was deleted....and has only gotten worse.

I'm glad I chose not to re-up....this has turned into a dictatorship and not a club. Sad....

Your both wrong sorry to say. What I deleted was my quote in your post because I changed my mind and agreed with you and had you read thru all the stuff you would have seen that was what i was trying to accomplish. I took down the original comments I made and had to redelete them in your post cause you quoted them. Thats all. . If something else came down it should not have happened.. Sorry Kidkilowatt

Oh and Priz yes, I am taking my ball and going home. LOL I am not going to put my financial backing on an event as a sponsor or as a board member to have someone else pull members in another direction after it had been set up already. Its nothing personal, JUST BUSINESS. Its the same respect I showed Speed Inc when I cancelled the paintball date as soon as I realized it conflicted with their event.
