Bad news : Highly doubt the track is going to be open tomorrow

Good news : Drag radials/wheels will be here on Wed.

Jerry Taft says rain will be in Chicago and southwest suburbs. Not out west! I will check the weather when I get up and if it's not raining I am going.

If not GLD has Street Tire night on Tuesdays only $25 and Slicks night on Thursdays which somebody today told me they will let us in with DR's.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.

Anyone head out there? I passed after seeing it raining here, didn't want to drive 2 hours for a potentially closed track. I am going to try and hit up GLD tuesday night.

I just called out there and they are CLOSED.

Looks like Tuesday at GLD could be our rain day.

What a freaking waste. Didn't rain at all today. But, it has been very cold and windy.

Yup, cool temps would have meant low times. Oh well.

Also means less traction on a cool track with no sunshine hitting it.

Need another day like last time at Byron, cool and sunny.

Yeah, I would think the lower traction would increase times alot more than lower temps would decrease them. Besides, I don't know about older cars, but the last few cars I have had, I get better fuel economy when it's warmer, say above 60. I would think that means more power too.

I'm thinking about hitting NLR on Friday night.

TNT 6-10pm. Looking like decent weather so far.
