We would love to do this. The weekend of May7 and 8 they are having a road trip where all the towns have different things going on. I'm pretty sure Marley did it last year. We did part of it, and they loved seeing our car. Last year each town gave out a puzzle piece so that you could make one big puzzle. The website is : historic66.com/events. Click on the mother road and it talks more about it.

66
hi,
i just joined the club...
my wife and i drove from chicago to galveston, texas, last year...
we stopped at the route 66 museum in pontiac, illinois, then proceeded to try the "best ribs in the nation", starting at 17th Street Bar and Grill at 1711 West US Highway 50 in O'Fallon, IL 62269.
we were planning on doing route 66 again, but trying other places, so count us in.

Currently in AZ! Drove down on Route 66 (Scoping it out for you guys.....)
I'm thinking a trip down to St. Louis, and those who want to spend the night, I can make arrangements, and That's close enough that people who want to spend only a day can cruise back.
After St. Louis... it is extremely boring until you get through Oklahoma!
What do you guys think?
