    FIREBALL RUN support for fellow VET and 5thGen!!

    2010 Fireball Run, Transcontinental Rally, America?s Adventurtainment Rally

    Who wants to make a run to IOWA on Friday night or meet the VETERAN 1 on Sat in Galena for the finish!
    If we want to make a day and hit hooters too we could? Looking for a few members to support a fellow Camaro owner and VET. TEAM Chevy is there with 2 other Camaro's, Vets, Tahoe's and media coverage!

    I would like to have a dozen 5thgens go out with me!

    Hmm. I drove to Cedar Rapids earlier in the season and it was a nice ride!

      I did that too last year! It was a good ride. I think we can get a few Camaro's on the border and drive back or wait in Galena for the finish!

          Dragstrip Challenge

          o Location: Cordova Dragway Park

          Midway (Chicago)- (about 2 hours) Take Central Ave. north (right) to I-55 West. Take I-55 West to I-355 North to I-88 West. Follow I-88 West to exit #18 to Albany (E) . Once in Albany turn left (south) on Hwy 84 follow 6 miles to track on left.

          O-Hare (Chicago) - (about 2 hours) Take I-90 East to I-294 South to I-88 West. Follow I-88 West to exit #18 to Albany (E) . Once in Albany turn left (south) on Hwy 84 follow 6 miles to track on left.

          FIREBALL RUN COMING TO CORDOVA DRAGWAY PARK SATURDAY, OCT 2nd
          The Fireball Run is “Amazing Race meets Motorsports.” The action packed 75 team, 8 day, 3500 mile adventurally is unequivocally America’s most challenging motoring event. Teams use more brain power than horse power to solve clues and accomplish missions needed in order to score points and reach their final destination!

          Starting in Henderson, Nevada and ending in Galena, Illinois the Amazing Race will stop for a “Race Challenge” on Saturday, Oct 2 at Cordova Dragway Park. “This will be a showcase of amazing people and cars” said Track Operator Scott Gardner. “I can’t wait to see some of the exotic vehicles these participants will bring to the Cordova Drag Strip” he continued.

          In addition a special one hour show will be produced by Universal Studios highlighting the tour as it crosses the Country. The Fireball Run participants are expected to arrive at Cordova Dragway Park at approximately 12 Noon on Saturday, October 2 for a luncheon at the Interstate Batteries Café followed by “on-track” racing beginning at 1:30 PM. The participants will then leave Cordova Dragway Park at approximately 2 PM for their final destination of Galena, Illinois.


          The fun has only just begun as we will see Bentley vs. Lamborghini, Charger vs. Camaro, and Motor Home vs. Movie Car in competition! Please make plans to attend. For more information on the Fireball Run go to www.fireballrun.com

            maaaan! If I weren't going out of town for the weekend. Galena is just the other side of where I grew up, it's a nice ride!

              Well, only 1.5 hours from my house. Hummmmmm........ I might think on this one. I guess if nothing comes up (laziness) I may go.
