Great pics, wish we could have made it. Maybe next time. Worried about taking it to the track with stupid clutch issues. We were asked to bring it back next week, hopefully the tech will be back then.

Kathy we'll surely do this again, we had too much fun not too.

I am looking forward to Tony's weight reduction mods to reduce his times. First mod is leaving the chairs in the parking lot, and reduce the number of tailights from 5 to the standard 4.

My weight reduction mod is to take a couple jogs around the block.

Maybe I'll jettison the sub next time, too. I'll try to get a weight on the whole thing and make myself feel better.

So did you leave the factory Stabilitrak on, or did you do it all manually?

I don't think the launch control is on the V6, right?

For the V6's, the man to beat last night was Priz!

              My best pass was 14.72 at 94.72 (2.215 60').

I bet all the crap in my trunk slowed me down.

I also had some fun getting my reaction time down. First ever was 0.868 and I managed to work it down to a -0.010!

Getting geeky, correcting for DA yields a 14.541 @ 95.895.

Here is the site with the calculator.

I turned off Traction Control, but not Stabilitrac. Also ran in Sport mode, FWIW. The track was so sticky, though, that us V6's never really had any spin to control (I started getting a bit of a chirp at the end of the night).

Right. Launch control is only on V8 manuals and Dan says that it sucks.

Ooh! One of my slips was a run against a GTO. I took him up to 330'!

Yes, I'm grasping for anything I can!

Air was pretty close to cool fall air last night.

I am pretty happy with my passes. That was my first time running a car at the strip and my times improved almost every pass.

First pass was 13.67 at 105 with a .8 reaction time.
Last pass was 13.49 at 105 with a .4 reaction time.

60' times all about 2.2 which I can improve on with some practice and a little more control of the right foot!

Temp was there, but the 78% humidty was not helping anyone!

Mike, put your best run into that DA calculator that I linked to. Ought to be interesting.

Tony...I actually did that when I got home, corrected would have been 12.7

Seems like a lot of computer assisted modes and functions on these 5th Gens -- almost a bit confusing...

Which leads to an interesting question, has anyone found a way to add the Launch Control to the V6 models? Alleged suckiness or not. ;-) Kinda like the folks trying to put '11 HUD on '10s...
