Parking next to

I don't know how the rest of you feel, but me personally.. I see parking next to another of your kind (for me, 2010 Camaro SS) as first, a sign of brother/sisterhood and two, it's a respect thing. People that own cars like ours (along with all the other makes/models) tend to be very protective of our cars, so it's highly likely that when you park next to one, you'll not have your car dinged or damaged, as will they.

I know I do this. If I see a Camaro in the parking lot by itself, I'll park by it to one, say "hello" and two, keep at least 50% of my car safe and theirs safe.

I parked next to a red/black SS at Woodfield this Sunday afternoon.. and, at a wedding up in Wi a couple weeks back, parked next to myself w/o stripes...

Just seeing if everyone else is like this?

I never park near any other cars.

There are plenty of people with Camaros that are not as nutty as we are. To them, it's <gasp> just a car.

i am the exact same way... i usually park way out in the middle of no where, in more then one spot, OR next to another camaro.

we have to stick together no matter where we are. especially in parking lots, they are very dangerous.

I am the same way about parking. But you know no matter how far away you park, there is always that A Hole that has to park next to you and it is usually a piece of junk.

Camaro or not... I don't park next to anyone if I can help it... I am with Tony not every is as careful as we are. Even fellow Camaro owners.

I park and then wrap my Car in bubble wrap just in case someone parks by me.

I just don't park, lol make my wife go in and drive around, LOL.

We always park as far away as possible but you definately have people that are real jerks and have to park right next to you. It is real maddening when you do this and come out and find some idiot has left their mountain dew bottle on top of your car. Dave threw it as far as possible and if the dummy who left it there were around, he would have thrown him too.

As to a sign of brotherhood/sisterhood, I think it is cool when your driving and you see another 5th gen and they honk or wave or even flash their lights at you. Makes us feel like we are in a very special group of people. We're glad to be in that group.
