  • Plasti dip wheels / looking for black wheels for SS

I hope I'm not the first to experiment with Plasti dip (gets embarrassed). I will admit I had a good experience both applying and looking at it day to day however I was getting frustrated knowing it wasn't permanent I had so many people fooled that I was starting to feel guilty and cheap. This is not what my Camaro deserves! Any thoughts on good places in the area to look at rims? It's not always easy shopping online and would love to see some black 20" wheels. I love the look of the ZL1 wheels however I'm trying to find something that will fit my stock PZero tires. Anyone have the ZL1 replica wheels?

Looks awesome! Do you mind sharing where you purchased?

What are your thoughts on the quality?

You probably thought of this already but if you like the style and want to keep the stock look, you can powdercoat your existing rims. That's permanent.

Popular online shop is: http://bestwheeldeals.com/ (Several other dealers on Camaro5 forum as well.)

Garrett (GMAN) Deerfield Tire who is a sponsor has tires and rims.

I was also turned onto this site today (courtesy of Joker), if you'd like to spiff up your existing rims (powder coating or hydro dipping): http://www.cpcpowdercoating.com/home.html

If you click their FB link you'll see they've been running some specials.

Also, I've been rocking plasti dipped wheels for a year now...while they need to be re-done, I'd love to just get them powder coated

Plasti-dip or not, I like how those wheels look blacked out.

This guy plasti-dipped the matte blue on his Camaro. Talked to him. He said he changes the color every 6 weeks or so. Whatever he is in the mood for. Said it takes a few hours to do. Met him at the CamaroSix unveil.
