    First speeding ticket

    Got my first speeding ticket since I got my car :/
    I was stuck behind a car in the left lane and was getting passed by cars in the right. When I had a clear shot I passed in the right. To pass I had to speed to get around it, and a Park City cop got me doing 79 in a 55 on hwy 41. Anyone know anybody to help me get it thrown out?

      It's not bad only $140 but still if I don't have to pay it would be nice

        You will pay some court costs to get court supervision. Those costs can be 250 in most towns. So if your fine is only 140 and you can get supervision with that, GRAB IT AND RUN !
        And chalk it up to A learning experience. Your thoughts of having it thrown out is Slim and None, and Slim just left town in a speeding Camaro.

          Substantially less expensive than when I bought mine by the way.

          I would guess that it has saved me somewhere in the neighborhood of 50+tickets. Well worth the investment.

          My last ticket receieved was 24 years ago.

            Send ticket in for bench trial as not guilty. Go to court and if cop does not show up it is thrown out. If cop shows up plead guilty and take the supervision.

              I bought one last night on Amazon. Not that one, but the one I bought was a top seller and had great reviews. I told my husband a while back I needed one. He told me just don't speed. Ha! I think he forgets the if your not going at least 10 over on hwy 41 you get people riding your ass. My husband, of all people should know this better than anyone...

                It would be my luck that he does show up and then I'm stuck paying the court fees too. I'm just going to pay it. It's really not worth taking off work for it too. I haven't gotten a ticket in 5 years. And don't plan on getting another. This radar detector I bought can't come in the mail fast enough!
