Our 3 year old roof is also damaged.

Good thing the Camaro was in the garage.

    Ouch. Thank goodness for insurance!

Well, that seems to have become a scam, with all of the fliers I get on my door after storms (or not). No real damage to be seen, but, they claim that you can get a new roof and siding for free.

Not saying that everyone will have the same service, but I have State Farm and they replaced my roof last year with no raise of insurance premium or cancelation either. There was talk of replacing my siding but I elected not to do that. It wasn't that bad and the marks were on the back of my house. I didn't want to take advantage of the situation.....just appreciated the new roof.

Certainly can be a scam. If you think you have damage, call a contractor you trust, and your insurance. Those guys fishing for work can and have actually ADDED fraudulent damage to roofs and/or siding to try and dupe you and your insurance company. It won't work.

A few years ago we had over $50k worth of damage to our house from hail. New roof, siding, gutters... We hired the guy who came to our door cuz he was SO NICE and said he'd take care of us... Yeah ... We set a begin date on the contract but no end date... So they began - 3 months later - a day before the contract said they had to begin- with out a permit from the city. Sent them back to get one, they showed up the next day while we were at work and did the roof.. Still no permit... Then about a month later came back to do the siding .. Still no permit.. (It was "back at the office ") came again when we weren't home and had removed all the gutters, shutters, siding when I came home and made them leave until they came back with a permit. This was around October?? House sat all winter without siding, in the meantime that "so nice sales guy " was calling me swearing and threatening to put a lien on the house because we didn't pay for the roof, the number of the company was disconnected. Thank Goodness we had a clause in the contract saying we didn't pay until the job was done in entirety!! And, of course, the swearing does not intimidate me at all... It didn't get finished until around March. And now the roof is leaking and as for that 10 yr warranty... Pphfft..

I can't do any all day shows now, I committed myself to some chores I have to get accomplished with the weather changing but I may be able to do a dinner somewhere close.

There is a small flash cruise scheduled*at Colonial Café on Randall road for Sunday,*10/11/15,*at 1pm.*Randy, who has a dodge dart, puts this together for cruise night people after the season has ended but the weather is still good. We get a free small ice cream when we buy food and they take our orders by the car. I will be going.
