So today I took my twice a year drive up to Road America to take care of some personal business and I got to say I am always amazed how nice the expressways and bridges are in Wisconsin, especially that new sects by Milwaukee, man they can really make some nice roads up there. I just don't understand why are roads in Illinois are always crap !

The cost to build roads in Illinois compared to Wisconsin is roughly 25% higher.
A road project also takes weeks to months longer in Illinois to complete.
Reasons: Taxes, Prevailing Wage laws, and bureaucratic government red tape.Comment
