  • GM appears to be in lawyer panic mode, LOL

Another 3.6 MILLION vehicles after the 1/2 million it announced last week with the Camaro . Now they want me to bring my caddy back too, no thank you.
C'mon folks , it's a car, it's not suppose to be perfect. Why don't they just issue new manuals instructing us all ; insert ignition key,
and keep all the rest of your crap in the center console!

How are they possibly going to find all the mechanics to do this work. The paperwork alone is a 15-20 minute ordeal Everytime you go to a dealer. Lol

I got a recall today on my 2005 G6 that my daughter is driving. It's for the electronic steering. Think it's been recalled for the steering several times now. What's going on at GM?

We got one for our G6 also, and the ignition can also be shut off if you have too many keys, but no recall yet. Dave showed me how it could happen. Also the Camaro can shut down, I sit closer to the steering wheel and if I were using cruise and bent my right knee and bumped the key, it would shut the Camaro down

Not just GM. Everyone is having a banner recall season. Toyota just recalled 2.27 million cars for an airbag glitch.

No offense to my buddy Lawdog, but I think companies stand to loose more in lawsuits than doing a recall these days. And, I think they are being held more accountable for problems especially if there's any question that someone was injured or worse, killed.

Going back to the Camaro key deal, I really wonder how many people will get the new key and seperate fob. I think we'll get Sharpie's car done, but probably won't have mine changed out.

Your right, that's what I mean lawyer panic mode, their inside counsel is recognizing us lawyers are always looking for a deep pocket to sue ! nit counting the government fines as well. the airbag issue is a bit concerning I agree.
