  • Curbed it

So I'm not really sure where this should go.. But about an hour ago I curbed a wheel in the 1LE and it's prettttty noticeable. Does anybody have a shop that can fix this ASAP? Hopefully by Saturday cause I'm taking it up to supercar saturdays.. THANKS!

Wheels of America in elk grove village has repaired a few sets of rims for me. No complaints on the work. Only down side is you have to remove the tire yourself as I don't trust their mounting and balancing. But if you can bring them the rims they should be able to repair them.

Oh that's a lot worse than mine.. Mine is maybe 2 inches at the most. How much did it run you?

What's the cost the average cost to repair / re- clearcoat the wheels?

Mine ran me about $400 to powder coat all 4 wheels. I had minor road rash they repaired as well at the same time. Nothing major though.

Mine are powdercoated then polished to reveal the aluminum so more expensive, I think it was like $170

So I have some wheels in need of fixing pretty badly. The alloy coating or whatever they put on top is peeling away pretty badly. Is there anything I can do to fix this for fairly cheap or do I pretty much have to get new rims?

I briefly looked it up, but it's a 2010 Camaro with just under 40,000 miles. There is like a 6 year/300,000 mile rust/corrosion warranty on it but I'm not sure that includes the rims.

Ah. Bumper-to-bumper ends at 36k. May be a good time to look at powder coating them.

I think they have pills now for that...

Just kidding. I curbed my aluminum stock rim a couple years ago, and I had no idea that it could be fixed...so I bought another rim.

                              Don't scrub so hard.
