Uggh. The radiologist got the results but won't release them to us. For whatever reason they can only release the results to the family doctor...his office closed at 5. Total BS, we are paying the bill, why not just tell us? I don't get it. So now we are left to worry for another night.
Thanks so much for the well wishes. It means more to us than you realize. Positive energy, positive thoughts. Really hoping this turns out to be nothing, but if you are a parent, I am sure you can understand our fears.

Well, I am not sure yet what this means, but the tests show no tumor...but the Sella Turcica which as I understand it, is the sac that encompasses the pituitary gland is somehow half empty, causing Intercranial Hypertension. No idea yet how serious this is, but I don't think it's good news, since the DR. is recommending taking Megan, to the ER for IV fluids and advising a consultation with a neurosurgeon ASAP.
This sucks. Life is so unfair. Thanks for the prayers and the well wishes. We will see what happens from here.

Full update on my daughter Megan
Took her for an MRI, obviously hoping for the best and fearing the worst. Her pain was so bad she has done nothing but cry for the last couple of days. MRI came back today negative for a tumor...a HUGE relief, however there is a problem with the area around her pituitary. Looks like something called Empty Sella Syndrome. Scary because it causes swelling... in the brain. So you can imagine we were pretty scared.
Just got all the blood work done and thanks God it all came back normal. Poor girl was so dehydrated it took 2 nurses 15 minutes to find a vein for IV fluids. She is now on pain meds via the IV, and will be coming home tonight. Tomorrow we will take her to a neurologist so they can start the testing for her glands, especially the pituitary. Then we can start a treatment program, and see what can be done.
Thanks so much for all the prayers and well wishes. I am hopeful she will be ok.
