  • GM Factory Sub

Anyone have experience with the GM Factory Sub like this one: http://www.shopchevyparts.com/electr...214-p-954.html

Would like some more low end (bass) but don't want the whole car rattling. I figured this with a 200w amp would not be too much. Doesn't look like it would take too much trunk space which is important to me.

    Just curious....

    Thanks for your feedback!

if you use your passthrough, you won't anymore

There was also someone on here selling one of the side trunk boxes pretty cheap.

Note that I know at least two people that had mounting issues with the nuts they use to hold it in. Ask Blackhawk.

Yeah, the side-mount would be better. That's why I was looking at buying it!

On the wattage, I have a 150W amp for a single 10" in a sealed box, and, it's awesome.

Really? Did you just advise if anyone is having mounting or nut issues to seek out Blackhawk?

You have to make sure both bolts are used or you will get some rattle. I had a nut come loose off the plate it was affixed to. The sub works great, you'd better have a 2SS or 2LT. Otherwise you'll need a harness.

Thanks everyone, I'm going to think about this. Sounds like it would be a good addition.

So is it pretty much plug-n-play on a 2SS?
