Well, after 18 years of being abused by Wal-Mart, I quit today. I know that quitting before I have another job is not a good idea, but I was at my limit. I'm mentioning this here because it couldn't hurt to let you all know that I'm looking for a new job. I have 22 years retail experience and 14 of it in retail management. I would love to get out of retail, but at this point, I just need a job, lol. If anyone knows of anything available that I may be interested in, please let me know. Let the hunt begin!

Something I can toss out there right now is the banking scene. It's still considered "retail" but the hours are amazing and dont change during the holidays. If anything you work less in the holidays. And it allowed me to particpate more in the things i wanted to like events with the club, racing, and family events.
So that is an option to look into, as banks love those with retail experience. PNC, Chase, and Harris are what i hear the best 3 to try to work at.

I'm not sure if I should say sorry to hear that or congrats?
If it was a crappy day every day at work, then your sanity and happiness should prevail over any monetary changes.
I hope you're able to find a suitable replacement for it... My mom works for BoxMart too and she has very similar things to say about the Corp.

Hey Dan, just want to wish you best of luck. I'm sure you don't want to relocate to Blo-No, although I do think we were 2 degrees warmer than Chicago this morning.sigpic

I would like to thank everybody for the help and well wishes. Not only the posts on this thread, but the pm's and phone calls!!!! That's why I love being part of this club, we really are one big, sometimes dysfunctional, family that really looks out for each other!!!! It's all been really helpful and kept my spirits up in this difficult time!!!!!!
