Do not use it. Your times will usually be worse than even moderate skill AND

most importantly, you run the risk of snapping an axle in non beefed up versions.

You want to learn to slip the clutch with rpms below 3200 on street tires. You'll run out the clutch sooner, but you have somewhat less risk of killing your axles. As a 45th, youre well past the weak output shaft problems and your rear diff should be ok as well.

wheel hop is your enemy, so let off the gas the moment you feel it.

First off thanks for coming out and nice to meet you.

Randy nailed it. It will do no good for you. I don't think you will need to worry about snapping an axle, but with a little practice you will be able to launch better then any computer.
I usually recommend those to start as if they were taking off from a red light aggressively. Then every pass up slowly raise the rpm and learn to feel your clutch slip.

Also if planning to go to the track more frequently next year, a very inexpensive mod to look into is a clutch resevoir seperation kit. you will thank me later.

Thank you both for your knowledge and input. I have started viewing Ranger Acceleration and was impressed with the shifting article especially the shifting drills. And I am looking into the clutch reservoir separation kit.
