How do you get your dogs to stop fighting?

I have a 7 year old Pitbull and a 4 year old Boxer who is staying with me until I can adopt her out. The Boxer is always starting fights with my Pitbull.

Any of you dog owners know how to put a stop to this? My Pitbull has already taken my bedroom door off the hinges to get out so keeping them separated is nearly impossible.

If they're like the Boxer's I know, it's not a violent act. The Boxer just wants to play and they don't always understand the "leave me alone" responses. Kim has a Shepherd Boxer mix that is totally disobedient but is just wanting to play. She too doesn't get the hint from other dogs.

Hell, I even get tired of the dog's crap.

Boxers are always over the top. A friend had one that they kept in the basement when they went out. It chewed through the drywall.

Rosey is my dog, a pitbull rescue, she doesn't start the BS, she did growl at Della though. I don't know why. Rosey is good with just about everyone.

Beatrice is the Boxer who was my Grandmother's dog. Gram died recently so I took her dog in to train her up a bit then adopt her out, it was that or have her put down and I won't do that. She is the troublemaker however and I think it comes from losing her owner suddenly then ending up in a home with another dog. She doesn't like sharing me with Rosey.


Wiki I hate cats. I'm allergic to them for one and they are creepy. They're like Spiders! They move in fast and quiet then they flank you.

Ruthie is our Club's resident Pitbull expert so maybe she has a few ideas. Either that or I just give my dogs a beating.
