  • Removal of hood and trunk shocks - need help.

I've had shock covers for my hood and trunk lid laying around for awhile so thought I would put them on. Can someone tell me how to remove the shocks to slide the covers on? I've been looking at it long enough with no ideas and don't want to screw something up. Appreciate any help.

There is a metal clip that goes around the shock mount on the hood end. Just remove it with a screw driver - pop it off the shock. That allows you to pull the shock off the hood stud. When you pull the shock off the hood stud, be careful as the hood will fall so hold it up. The same applies to the trunk. To reattach, just reverse the process.

    Not hard to do.

        Okay, I'm baaaaaack!

The trunk shock covers went on, no problem. The hood shock cover will not fit over either end of the shock assembly. Does either end come off, somehow?
