So I have been thinking of getting the new C7. I have been offered 32k on my 2006 LMB convertible. It has 21k miles on it. MSRP for the 2014. Thoughts?

      Agreed!

...unless you want to wait for the 6th gen Camaro!

Just be aware of the first model year blues if you get a 2014.

It's pretty much a brand new car (first in a while for that). First Corvette with DOD/AFM, eLSD, rev matching, sound dampening technology in the cabin, color HUD, multiple color screens, touch screen, eParking brake, VVT, new LT1, etc.

Lots and lots of things to act up in an early run. They've done a lot of testing and real-world driving with the car, but there are things you just can't account for with this much new stuff.

            I'm looking at a C7 myself, but most likely not a 2014.

I agree with Randy. I've said many times that I would not buy a first year car. Yet, I bought a first year G6 and Camaro. The Camaro has turned out to be okay and the G6 not so much. I would not hesitate on a new C7, however, I would buy an extended warranty. It saved me big time on my G6.

If you can wait a year on it, that would probably be the best thing to do. If you're like me, waiting is never an option.

I bought two, first-year cars. Both were fine.

Yeah Tony, it obviously didn't stop me. I think there's just more of a risk you take, improvements, fixes, etc. thus I buy an extended warranty. However, I didn't on my Camaro, so there goes that thinking right out the window. I would like to think they have gone over a new Corvette design pretty well before releasing it. I think GM is better than they used to be all around.

Then get one with the understanding that things could go wrong that have not been discovered in testing. It's just not possible to test all possible scenarios. Hopefully you'll not have any issues and will be just fine. Just know that if things do creep up that it's basically a fully new Corvette and to keep the appropriate understanding and patience.

Perfect example are our camaros. Look at the changes and corrections that came out after the first year. Always the risk taking getting a 1st Gen of anything.

sent from my galaxy s3. that would explain the errors.

WooHoo! I picked up a C7 last night!

@ Sams Club. They got their one shipment of 1/18 scale diecast cars in over the weekend and there were several 2014 C7's. $14, I had to get one.
