I felt it was appropriate to share with my fellow C5G members as we are family after all...
This past saturday I was called by my wife because she was told that her sister and mother were in a really bad car accident. The Most scary part about this is that my sister in law was 25 weeks pregnant. My wife hurried home from work and i jumped into the driver's seat and made it to the Central Dupage Hospital in under 15 minutes from the HP area.
I won't drag on with the long details, but basically what happened was that my sister in law had to be rushed into surgery and have an Emergency C section because the baby's heart rate dropped very low and there were signs that she stopped breathing. Not only was the baby in very critical condition, but so was my sister in law as she only has one kidney due to her's failing 9 years ago. So surgery and pregnancy is very dangers for her.
Well i have spent the past 4 days in the hospital by my families side as we start the road to recovery. The sweet part is that my Mother in law and Sister in law are doing good now, and will be released from the hospital today. And we can now welcome my niece Caitlyn Sophia to this world. Being born at only 25 weeks of pregnancy she is only 1lb 13oz @ only 12 inches long and is as cute as a button.
Due to being so Pre-mature, she will be spending the next 3 months in the hospital under heavy care. Her original due date was November 13th, and thats around the time when they are hoping she can go home. So we are in for a very long journey at this point. I will keep you all posted on her progress.
