I mentioned this when I was on the board and it got no action but I would like to bring it up again, especially in light of the fact that many of the cars in the club are not new anymore and people are driving around with some wear on their tires.
we really should have a designated spare tire kit and or spare wheel when we have an official C5G event that travels with us at all times to help out a member on a likely weekend when no shops are open, especially Sunday cruises.
there are a variety of choices for the SS model I understand including some CTS spare and a Cadillac kit that may fit as well as the Camaro donut wheel with spacer.
it has already happened one time that I remember on a Sunday where it left one guy stranded and two hung back with him.
With Indy C5fest coming up I have been thinking about getting something myself but it would be better if the club got something and the thing was passed between board members on these cruises. even if I bought one myself, I am not always around. Just a thought .
