I would be So Upset, I got clients that are top notch in disaster restoration cleanup if you have insurance coverage. they are the best for this if the city will pay for your selection of vendor.

Ok, adding crap to the pile! Nikki tried to get thru the river that was on our street. The caddy is out of commission. I think she broke a valve. I opened the air filter and about 2-3 cups of water came out. Called the insurance company and made a claim.Comment

Damn that sucks. My cousin had his basement flood twice -- got to have backup sump pumps, and battery backups, and backups for the backups LOL and test at least monthly...
Glad I am on a slab for now

Pumps won't help anything with the outside saturated like it is/was unfortunately.

So did the sewer pipes actually backup into your basement? If so, that could get REAL nasty.

That's our problem in Cook County....combined sewers.
I already hired a contractor to do the necessary work.
