Sorry to hear this. I hope they catch the guy and you can take him to the bank. People have to get a grip on this respect thing. There's none left in this world. People flat out don't care about others, and if the guy was drunk, even worse.

Every time I read these stories I'm ready to put the bike up for sale. All because of people being stupid, not respecting other people on the road, failure to put their cell phones away, yadda yadda yadda.

Sorry, I get upset when I read stuff like this happening to fellow bikers.

Glad you're okay, count your blessings, and hope you heal soon.

As I've told my kids, the bikes are not the bad part, it's everyone else.

I totally agree Freddie, when I hear about accidents like this and know how people drive on the road, this is what has prevented me from taking the Motorcycle classes up here to get a license and ride. Also, lost a few people I know due to motorcycle accidents.

Good for you for having sense to wear a helmet. My wife and I are the only ones in the group we ride with to wear them. We started eight years ago after witnessing too many injuries and deaths that could have been walked away from. Hope you get better soon.

I was the same way when I had my bikes... no matter what I had helmet and leathers on. I too have seen and been involved in too much crap. Always better be safe then sorry.

sent from my galaxy s3. that would explain the errors.
