    Nothing new there..... It's the dealers word against yours and odds are they and their attorneys are going to win.

          ...that blog post is from 2011... and yes, no new info there. It's long been said here that an aftermarket part doesn't automatically void your warranty. MFG's do not have to warranty the aftermarket part, and if there is a failure, they have to prove that the aftermarket part or installation caused the failure. - and if it did, it's going to void the warranty on the affected system, not the entire vehicle. (at least by my interpretation)

            The mag/moss act basically says if they won't fix it for free you are free to use aftermarket parts and fix it yourself. For example any maintenance filter or fluid as long as it meets specifications is ok. It does not say you can heavily modify and tune the vehicle, change the oil and trans fluid out with water, and blow it up and want it fixed for free.
            All warranties are LIMITED warranties, subject to change revocation without advance notice.
            None of this information is new or ground breaking. MM act has been around a long time. If you have warranty question ask your dealer, or if you are "lucky" a friend or acquaintance that works in the service department AS A MANAGER.
