  • Chicago Wheels - Where is it?

Like the title says, anyone heard of Chicago Wheels and know where it is? Google is not helping on this one....too generic of a name.

    Thanks!

There was a top notch powder coating guy out in Ottawa Peru area Freddie closer to you that I used to use years ago, he did my wheels out there in white, lasted a long longtime, forget his name but would recognize the shop, he did a lot of cars like the whole Fing car in a zztop commercial! Lol

I'm looking for a powdercoater that does custom wheels. Josh mentioned Pro-Tek Custom Powdercoating in Joliet. Anyone use this place before?

i just got my wife's wheels done at "wheels of america" in elk grove village. They came out great, and will be taking my wheels there.

may also depend on if you are looking to get just a single color done, or multi-color/masking done. There's a hand full of different shops that people have used. There's The Powder Pro in Huntley area, they did calipers for tony and i, and they do (last I checked) masking/multi color wheels. Though I haven't gotten anything done there since one of the owners left. A few people have used CPC in Crest Hill, with good results. I know there is another shop or two not mentioned too...

I would check further on CPC. Zeus had his LG zr28 wheels redone by them. He had some issues. Not sure if he was happy about the quality.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I'm not having much luck with powdercoaters fairly close to me. I do have one estimate to do what I want in paint. I'm waiting to hear back from one powdercoater as well.

Pete, I'll shoot you an email this morning.

I used CPC and wheels came out ok. I did kinda rush them and they said normally they wouldn't have given me the wheels the way they were but I had to have them, I had a guy picking up my stock wheels in the am. I am pretty picky on stuff for my car. There are a few pit marks but unless I show you or you are within 6in of the wheel you cant see them. They do warranty there work for life. And I can get them re-done anytime free of charge. They are very nice people and prices are good. I would give them an A- overall. I will try them again for other stuff and they also do hydro dip. Hope this helps a little.
