Appears you are paying for the Z28 badge. And who would buy a new car these days without a/c? I sure wouldn't. Thats alot of $ just to put on the track. I do like the seats and wheels though.

Track cars don't need A/C. This could be the next poor man's COPO Camaro. Like the COPO this car will appeal to those that are serious about racing, but want to be able to show off on the street.

I agree. This is not just a flashy car for daily driving. It is a race car that is street legal. Shoot if it was possible I wouldn't have gotten AC on my car. Haven't used it once. Not only does AC add weight but its an added pulley as well.

Shoot there is only one speaker purely for the seat belt chime. Other wise there would have been zero.

I think this car is aiming for those who missed out or passed on the COPO... Surely NOT a DD car. The tires have a tread wear rating of 60... That is LESS then the cup tires and they are $535.00 a tire. Also those CCM brakes are stupid $$$.... Welcome to a $10,000 + Brake job.

I think a lot of you are missing the point/purpose of this car. I will let FbodFather explain it to you.

The 2014 is dedicated to the “Z/28” purist. This is a track car that makes no excuses. That this car is a full three seconds faster on a track than the mighty ZL1 speaks volumes to its intent. Make no mistake – this isn’t a slap at the mightly ZL1. Far from it. If you want a car that blows other cars off a road course on Saturday and Sunday – and yet will get you to the office in comfort on Monday morning – the ZL1 is the car for you. If you want blistering track performance at a reasonable cost – the 1LE is prescribed. And – if you want to shame exotics on a road course – with an automobile that’s not meant for daily driving, then the Z/28 makes no apologies and may grab you by the collar – shake you silly -- and shout “LET’S GO MAKE HISTORY!”

If you do not buy this car to take it to the road course, you are doing yourself, and this car, a disservice.
