I don't mind the tail lights... certainly taking cues from the late second gen cars.

I have to disagree. Espically with the magnetic ride suspension on the ZL1. There is some tech, but its more the lack of it by stripping out everything in the car.

The Z28 is 3 seconds faster than the ZL1 around the track. 300 lbs. lighter too.

With no radio. It's only for the seat belt chime.

Appears you are paying for the Z28 badge. And who would buy a new car these days without a/c? I sure wouldn't. Thats alot of $ just to put on the track. I do like the seats and wheels though.

Less HP than the ZL1 and less options and its going to cost more than the ZL1? Sorry...it doesn't seem right to me. I would prefer the ZL1.

Everyone wants a 4100lbs tank that gets heat exhaustion in spring.

Just wait and see what the actual track data looks like. 80HP-ish shy of the ZL1 but was it 300lbs lighter I saw on top of lighter wheels/tires, etc?

I'm still not a fan of the cheap looking hood vent or the rear though.

I'm curious about the TCO of the Z/28... Some of the parts I've read about and would guess would be present will most likely not be cheap, nor will they last long.

                            Just a hunch.

I think you're dead on here - not going to be a cheap toy, there's no doubt.

Not from what I've heard..... But, I'm not the one truly in the know about that bit... Time will tell though. Great traction usually comes at the cost of tire life, so, I see it needing tires more often than people would expect going in.. Especially if they're looking to DD the car.
