  • Driving in snow

Yesterday I drove my 2010 Camaro in the snow for the first time.
I had a hell of a time keeping this car under control.
Coming to a stop it would pulse (traction control). Starting from a stop sign or red light the car would fish tail. Both happening at low speed. What is the secrect for keeping this car under control beside not driving it in the snow?

It's tougher in the slushy stuff sometimes, but if you were on the stock summer 20's, that's a big factor

thats your problem. The pirelli's are not made for low temps let alone snow. If you are going to be driving in snow get some all weather tires.

I run the all seasons, if its slick I use the tap shifters to start out in 2nd.

I have shifters, but I don't really know how to use them. Can you provide info how to use them.

Put the shifter in low... Before you even start rolling, tap the + tap shifter once and you should see a #2 on your instrument panel. At around 2500 to 3000 RPM, tap + again to shift into third and so on. When you come to a stop, or slow down, the car will down shift on its own... If you want to downshift yourself, tap - to bring it down a gears, and so on. Anyone disagree? Or can you word it better?
