Setting here watching the NASCAR Sprint Unlimited race tonight on FOX. I really like the look of the new Chevrolet SS. Hard to tell on these cars, but the tail lights kind of look like the new Vette, IMO. Can't wait to see a production model.

Yeah, it looks pretty good. Though the lights don't look anything like the C7, lol. The produciton car reveal was earlier today... they look more like cruze lights.

They were interviewing Newman earlier and he mentioned that they may switch to Danica's setup for qualifying tomorrow. I thought that was kind of funny. Agree, it would be cool for her to lead the pack on first lap.

Will have to see it in person, but I like it. Not sure I'll like it more than the G8. Definitely like the interior though. That's one thing I think Chevy has stepped up their game in and that's their interior designs. At the Auto Show, I saw the new Impala SS interior and liked it.

Reminds me of a certain Pontiac made from 2004-2006 also pretty much a cloned Aussie car. The exterior of the SS is a real snooze fest for me. Too bad Pontiac had to die off and take the G8 with it..

With all things considered I think Chevy could of made it a lot worse. It's a big step above the caprice.

I miss Pontiac and think GM made a mistake, should have said bye bye to Buick instead. The new SS will be as close as we get to the G8, and while I would prefer a G8, I will consider the SS. Actually, my nephew has a G8 and I have dibs on it when he decides to sell. As for snoozing....the new Impala is just that for me. It looks like they designed to be nothing more than a rental car. I liked the interior though.

I wish they got rid of Buick instead as well. I loved my g8. It was a great driver, great interior room, decent sound system. Long tube headers, axle back, intake. IOM sport and premium package.

I picked it up used with 32k miles on it and sold it 11 months later with around 70k. Took it to Oklahoma and my uncle was shocked when I was getting double the mpg as him so it went to Florida a few months later. 4 guys from 5ft10 to 6ft6 and we were all comfortable.
