  • Buying American

Hello everyone, lately I have been feeling an obligation to buy American. It started earlier this year when I went to buy a fire place set for my niece. Even though the fire place sets were pure metal, they were all made in China, so I thought "why can't Americans make a fire place set?" Ever since I've been looking at where the products are made and then looking at the price. Most Americans look at the price first, and then maybe where it's made. Last week I was in the market to buy a car, other than my Camaro I haven't bought an American car in years. My wife drives a European car and I drove an aging Japanese car. I started looking at replacing my car. I compared the Cadillac SRX to the RX and the MDX. I was surprised how nice and sporty the Cadillac rides. I ended up buying the Caddie . I know the might not be a choice to buy American but i will look first and I hope to encourage other Americans to think the same.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1354424882.321818.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1354424900.899786.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1354424915.085115.jpg

Thanks, Always GM! When I came to this great nation 40+ years ago my father bought a 65 Chevy four door, it's been GM ever since.

Cadillac SRX to be made in China - Page 2

Re: Cadillac SRX to be made in China
I think some people are over reacting. Our SRXs will still be made in Mexico, just like they are now. But since GM is expecting to sell a bunch more in China then they do now, it makes sense for them to set up a factory there, rather then ship them half way around the world.

First off, thanks for buying Amaerican and another GM product. Nice ride that will look nice with that Camaro.

As for my cars, I have five GM made vehicles in my line up right now. I do wish more products we buy everyday were made here, unfortunately, American made is hard to find a lot of times.

The exact combo I wish I could have. I am going to have to settle for an older blazer or Trailblazer however.
