  • Good way to conceal a radar detector

Not sure if anyone on here has come across this before, while browsing the internet for some new car stuff today I came across this little system.

    BlendMount-Radar Detector Mount-Escort Detector Mount-Valentine One Mount

Since I'm going to be purchasing an Escort this works out perfectly, and the mirror tap cord is pretty awesome. Thought I would share with those of you that don't know about this.

K&N Cold Air Intake, Smoked Side Markers, Smoked Taillights, Smoked reverse lights, Blacked out RS badge and Chevy Bowtie emblems, Tinted Windows 20% around, 2 12" Type R Alpine Subwoofers with 1400watt Kicker amp, Blue dyed stitching.

I personally didn't like that one. Heard reviews of it not holding and not being secure. There is a vendor on Camaro 5 that's selling the escort 9500ix with the visor mount. I currently have it. Let me know if you'd like to check it out.

I expected some sort of stealth setup. That is still visible.

Better than having a suction cup on the window and taking up more of the limited windshield space we have Tony lol. I was thinking about the under dash mounted detector from escort for that stealth setup but it's way too much money. (And that's with a 50% reduction through my work accommodations)

JBruno, I have seen the visor mount but don't like how I have to run the power cable to the detector.

I saw a pic of this on here that someone has the same mounting...but I can't remember who though. Anyone know of any business that does this install?
I wouldn't want to attempt the wiring.

Agreed that's why I don't have or need a radar detector.

A radar detector is used for other things too. Like the reason I like it. Emergency vehicles activate it and its a warning they are in the area and to me more alert.
