A few of you have PM'd me about my Dad so I thought I would post an update. He's been back in the hospital for a week now and will be for another few days. He has pneumonia for the second time in 2 months or they never got rid of it totally previously. They have done all they can for him and nothing is working. He will be going to a nursing home where they will basically keep him comfortable. Doctor told me tonight he probably has 2 weeks left.
For those that don't know, over the past 2 1/2 years, my Dad has been battling a blood disease called MDS (myloid displastic syndrome) and most recent, AML (acute myeloid leukemia). He also broke his hip last fall which started his downward spiral. That was when he started living with me.
I appreciate your thoughts and prayers. This year has been hard watching my Dad's health go down but the next few weeks will be especially hard.
