Finally heard my own camaro driving

So yesterday I had to pick the car up from discount tire after having them inspect a slow leak. My brother in law went with me to pick it up and I decided to let him drive so I can hear how she sounds driving.

I've got to say at idle/low RPM's she's quiet and you wouldn't know she has a cat back unless you know the camaro. But she sounds pretty damn good on the throttle.

One thing I noticed was how much you can hear her going in and out of DOD! It sounds like "gurgle gurgle gurgle POP" then the tone gets a slightly higher pitch. If you didn't know it had DOD you would think there was something wrong.

What I learned from this... HEADERS ARE A MUST and I HATE DOD! Even if it did help me get 28mpg on the way to and from indy.

Very cool. I love listening to my car, and my friends love it too because they benefit from driving it as well. Haha.

Sounds like headers and an ls3 conversion are in your future.

Headers
Ls3 conversion

lowered

I think I should be happy then.

On a side note... I saw on C5 someone selling there assembled LS3 heads. If I bought those all I should need is the LS3 valley cover and that would be the conversion correct? He wants like $300 for them.

I was not totally happy either until I added headers to my Borla Atak Cat Back system and then a tune.

Yeah headers are going to have to go on soon.
