  • Why, oh why?

So, I'm sitting in line to give the 'vert a touchless wash, and I am watching the guy behind me take the stiff wheel brush to the entire front of the car... Say hello to lots of swirl marks! Guess I forget how differently we treat our cars.

I'm betting he didn't even spray it off first to get the pebbles out of it. Those brushes should be outlawed.

Doesn't a "touchless" car wash mean - touchless? No brushes etc? Maybe I'm wrong here.

The wash itself is touchless, for sure, but they put out huge bushel and a half containers of water with big long handled brushes for people to use on wheels, etc. Every once in awhile, you get people like the guy I saw that thought to use it on the bugs on the front of the car.

Could be worse... I say a Black RS in a parking lot Saturday that looked like it hadn't been washed in 6 months! The wheels look like they hadn't been cleaned since the car was new. It was soooooooooo saaaaaaaaaaad! As toasty commented, "Guess I forget how differently we treat our cars".

Both. It's usually in a dire situation that I have something corrosive or damaging on the car and I need to get it removed but don't have access to another option. It's not a regularly occurring thing as I used Simon's Shine Shop for that and their Dr. Beasley's products -- more so now that I have a matte finish on the wheels.

They have a wonderful matte finish care line of products.. Hyundai is actually using them as their OEM provided set on the Velosters in that finish.
