Here's a handy tip for getting directions from OnStar (sort of).
OnStar’s Safety and Security package includes OnStar Emergency, Connections, Diagnostics, and Security services. OnStar’s Directions and Connections package includes all the Safety and Security services plus unlimited Turn-by-Turn Directions.
If you do not have the Directions and Connections package, but do have the Safety and Security package, an advisor will provide you with the location of a business (e.g., 4th Street and Main); however, they cannot provide you with Turn-by-Turn Directions to its location.
So you can ask OnStar for a business address and then load it into your own GPS unit for the directions. Ta Da! Discount navigation without having to search for an address on your smart phone.
