  • Lip and Dovetail installed!

The GM FX front lip finally came in and I got it installed at my work(dealership). Extremely happy with it and the tech that put it on said that the new kits from GM fit a million times better than the old ones did. Which makes a happy to hear

Dovetail now installed! Pfft @ those who say a good install with 3M extreme couldn't hold these on at 140mph+. I had put 40 pounds of books on it. Didn't budge!

I apologize for the crappiness of my phone's camera. Also mid day in the blaring sun isn't the best time to shoot a vehicle

    Dovetail pics coming sooN!

Ya know, I could've gotten a better look at the spoiler if you had not backed the car into the driveway

lol sorry I was installing it. Letting the tape back in the heat for a bit. Haven't seen you whip outside in days?????I drove by your house on the way to work yesterday at like 7:30ish and your girl was getting into her vert. I waved but I think it creeped her out lol. Tell her sorry

I'm curious. By this statement above does that mean that the two outside pieces of the blade spoiler are held onto the car with 3M adhesive tape? I'm curious because I bought the ZL1 spoiler (which is for sale in the yard sale section now) and changed my mind because I like the Dove tail spoiler better. But I was concerned about how the two outside pieces mount onto the car because I really don't want to have any extra holes drilled into the rear quarter panels to mount those two pieces. I'm assuming the center piece mounts directly in place of the factory spoiler using the same holes and pin locations? Also is there a wiring harness extension that is used to wire in the third brake light on the spoiler?

                  Thanks.

                  Nick.

Sorry I forgot to say that your car is looking really nice by the way. I like that you added the fender hash stripes. I thought the 45 stripe package was a little too subtle but I like how you complimented it with the fender hash stripes!

Mine has been staying in garage overnight, while wife gets used to size of vehicle, etc. Then hers will be back in garage. She said she saw 45th car, didn't know was you

I had my Dove Tail Spoiler installed by Showstopper. They did have to drill five holes into the car. Four for the two side pieces, and one for the wiring harness for the brake light.
There is tape also on the pieces to help keep them down.
I like the look better then the stock spoiler.

Yea, here is my DIY so you don't have to drill holes into your quarter panels.

I'd be more than happy to let you feel how tight mine are on the car. The center piece does bolt to the vehicle via the via from the factory spoiler. I couldn't be happier with the entire deal.
