i was actually on the waiting list at my local dealer. But after doing more research i realized that you can purchase a brand new SS and put about a little over $10,000 into it and you will have an car that will out perform the ZL1 for a total of about $15,000 less.
So i passed up the chance of owning one because my car already has more power and i am saving a ton of money.
but the car does look good.

You're mostly right, but I'm not sure if a good coilover setup could outperform the MRC.

The way i looked at it is i probably will never get my car to a road course. As is the case for most of us on here. So i can send a couple hundred on springs which will give it a more aggressive stance and keep it good for daily driving. and a few more hundred on upgraded bushings and sway bars and i am set.
still well under $55,000 total spendings by a long shot.
but i still feel that for all the higher priced sports cars, if you are going to be spending $55,000+ on a car, this is DEFINITELY is the best bang for your buck.

I think if your planning on keeping the thing for a long long time, ie 20 years garage kept summer use only on weekends. It may be one of th last big muscle cars to be delivered stock with anything near that setup. These EPA standards are going to kill things I think!

Too bad I can never afford a ZL1 and Toasty I don't think hotwheels count. But then again I don't have the official rule book. lolK&N Cold Air Intake, Smoked Side Markers, Smoked Taillights, Smoked reverse lights, Blacked out RS badge and Chevy Bowtie emblems, Tinted Windows 20% around, 2 12" Type R Alpine Subwoofers with 1400watt Kicker amp, Blue dyed stitching.
