  • Mod: Performance or Appearance??

Ok, so I'm looking into purchasing at least one mod with tax returns. I'm torn between purchasing a CAI cold air intake and the Unrestricted Motorsports Gen 1 Spoiler (would have to be painted so would cost more in long run).

The one seen on this car:

Also, a possibility is a Heritage Grille and the JDP Color Changing Halos...

What do ya'll suggest? I'm personally leaning towards the CAI. If you have had the CAI cold air intake, any feedback?

Just got my CAI and love it, check out my build thread. You just have to decide if you want bling or performance.

Can you feel the difference in the car with the intake...and does it really help the note of the exhaust?

Cai inc still rules the v6 fast list, funky spoilers don't make the list.

I want both!!!! Lol...I'm only drawn to the spoiler because it reminds me of the old school. Eventually everything will be bought, just have to decide in which order. I've wanted the intake the most, but my pops has been trying to talk me into the spoiler, because it will make my car different as not too many people we've seen with that spoiler, which may help in car shows. (Most are stock, havoc, mpd and slp) In a perfect world, the car would just come with everything you want, right??? If I do go with the intake, have you guys heard much about the ADM scoop with it?

The ones I was refering to was JDP, 2010-2012 Camaro RS Color Changing Halo Package It is a similar setup, but a little cheaper and less color options. I probably won't be doing that anytime in the immediate future. That maybe something I research more towards the end of the year when I get a christmas bonus. The SJM Halos, look by far the better unit hence the reason why they are more expensive. (You get what you pay for. I know it will be one of the two when I decide to do that though, because I like that you use the stock RS Halos. The SJM are definitely more appealing.) Right now I think I will probably be going with the intake followed by the spoiler...most likely.

CAI INC Intake was the first thing I did to mine. Love it! Not only does it help performance, it looks great when you open the hood for those car shows. Caution: once you start on engine bling, there's no turning back. You want more, and more, and more.....

Hey Mantis, I've got two things for sale you might be interested in 1 K&N cold air intake 63 series (black) for sale and a Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust. I used them for about 3000k miles before i put a Kenne Bell super charger. I changed the exhaust because it was way too loud with it. I know what your thinking "its never too loud" well I’ve got the convertible and it was rattling my neighbors windows lol! I made a MOD to get the exhaust to fit the convertible but it did not affect the performance. I'm asking $600.00 for both.
Let me know if you or anyone in Camaro land is interested

I'll keep an ear open. I've kind of made up my mind on the Cold Air Inductions intake if I do decide to purchase that first. As for exhaust, that was my first mod. I run the ARK N-II Catback. I bought it last September.
