I cant decide on the color!!!!

My old firebird and camaro were both black.. I love the black look.

I also like the stand out of the IOM

        The grays look great too.

Yellow just screams Camaro and Im sure gets the most attention because of transformers

Red is always nice on a sports car....

        UHG!!!!
You can never go wrong with black.

Finance through a credit union we dropped our rate 5% if you can put the g8 back to original. It would be better

dont know what the best rate is right now, but i got under 3% from Chase bank.

As for color? I LOVE my white... but I don't want too many, so don't get white, LOL.

Hahaha. As far as popular colors of current available colors, there are lots of IOM, lots of Black, and a fair amount of yellow. Not many red.... about the same for the grey, though.

Wow, this has to be the longest thread for less than a day old.

Anyway, some advice for finding cars to consider. I bought mine in August and went from buying a hybrid to switching to a Camaro in less than two weeks. Long story. Suffice to say I drove my wife nuts for two weeks. I went to Chevy's website and "built" my car. Once you have done that they will search inventory for you matching cars and ranking them by how close they are to what you want. Once I narrowed it down to a few select car I started send request quotes to the Internet managers. (BTW, you can get the VIN number from the website if you want to pass that along to Bubbles.) Generally you get an actual number back, not a "come on in and see us... blah blah." In early August I got $2K off a $39.4K MSRP. I had no trade in and was not financing so it was a pretty straight forward deal. $2K was the best deal anyone was offering at that point. There were multiple dealers giving the same discount and I could not negotiate any lower. You have to figure this car is in high demand, selling well, they don't need to deal much.

Since you are a Pontiac owner you might be lucky here. I also netted an additional $1K GM Retention rebate for being a Pontiac owner. If you are a current first owner of a Pontiac or Saturn at that time they were giving an additional rebate. Now the BS part of that, only 1 dealer (Advantage Chevy) even told me about this. So armed with that knowledge once I made my deal, I dropped that bombshell on them. Not like it was costing the dealer anything, but I believe they were going to try and snake that rebate for themselves. All the dealer has to do is look up your name on some list they have and they know if you qualify. So ask about it before you buy. Good luck.

I do understand the high demand of camaro's but there are WAY too many camaro's sitting on dealer lots right now. There has to be room for negotiation.

I unfortunately am not the original owner of my G8. I don't think Ill get that GM Retention rebate.

2010 CAMARO PRICE COMPLETE LIST -- OPTIONS + ACCESSORIES (MSRP, Invoice, Employee) - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums - Camaro5.com

There is the 2010 camaro pricing sheet. Keep in mind there are two types of invoice... Dealer invoice for the public and internal dealer invoice which is usually a few hundred - 1k cheaper.

I was able to purchase my 2011 1LT fully loaded at 700 under dealer invoice to the public. And ordered mine directly from the factory.

I've been looking around and seeing if I've wanted to trade up to an SS and done a lot of research. Depending on options, you can probably get a 2011 2SS/RS auto no sunroof right around 29,000. That was the lowest price I was able to find at a dealership in the NW Suburbs.

Best of luck to you, and happy hunting!

Unfortunately most sales departments of dealership don't think logically or use grey matter for anything short of searching porn.

You still however may be eligible for a retention rebate of sorts If you trade in your G8 that all depends on GM's qualification requirements for the rebate

There is really only one true invoice. On that invoice there are 5 or 6 prices. There is MSRP, GMS, GM Employee, cost with holdback and advertising (which is known as "invoice" to laymen) cost plus holdback, & finally netnetnet aka DEAD COST.

And you are right you normally will not see all that on the Internet image and if you do you need a roadmap to figure it out

                          • I have my resources of being able to know what Bill Stasek Chevrolet paid for my Camaro... Lets just say I was nice enough at the time to let them only make $100.00 off of my sale.
