  • Some People!

So I thought this morning that I might be ever closer to ordering my Camaro... (I hadn't intended to order until late summer) While on feeder ramp to 294 NB from 55, a semi truck merged INTO my Grand Prix! I was in the right hand lane, in a long line of traffic, and the semi came from the left and merged too close and clipped my car-- took out the driver's door mirror, and scrunched the rear fender around/behind the gas filler, and took a chunk out of the rear bumper cover. Truck driver didn't even get a ticket. --- truck driver said 'I didn't see you there' he musta been blind!

I have had two accidents with semi's... they win all the time. Glad you are fine. That's the most important thing.

I had one clip the front end of my '92 camaro and he didn't even realize it until a mile later when his wife smelled diesel fuel. Glad your alright, cars can be replaced.

yeah, it's really not all that bad. Worst part is that the trucking company is self insured, so i thought it best to go through my insurance company, so I'm on the hook for the deductible, etc until my insurance gets that reimbursed. best part? the only real blemish on my car is a rust spot just under the gas filler door.... right where the wrinkling starts on the quarter panel... so i get that fixed as a bonus!

I'm holding to the hope that some of the rumored updates are indeed coming to the 2011's

I am pretty sure nothing it's going to change, no car changes after only one year of production, much less with GM strapped for cash, only thing I heard from a very respectable source is wifi on your camaro as a option but it will be available for 2010 models too.

Yikes! The car is worse than I thought! Apparently, the impact pulled the rear quarter FORWARD, closing most of the rear door gap on the bottom half of the door. the door doesnt rub, it's just closer than it is supposed to be. so that, coupled with new rear bumper cover, other replacement parts (tail and mirror, it came VERY close to totaling the car-- so much so that they have to repair the rear quarter, not replace. estimate is a tad over $2100! if I have to, they're going to try and find a same color used bumper cover to bring the cost down to save the car.... here's hoping!
