Anyone use a storage facility to store their cars in the winter? In particular, any recommendations in the south or western suburbs?

No, sorry it sits in our garage which is not heated if that helps.

We have two cars the we store. One goes to a rental facility, the other stays in the garage. I don't know of any places in your area.

Yea but you can't have ANY gas in the vehicle because of their regulations last I checked

Yea they check, they also have the right to cut your lock off at anytime for any reason the deem valid... It's all in the contract you have to sign and the insurance you have to carry... I have rented space before, not for a vehicle but for other things they have great service tho!

I suppose they have the right, since it is THEIR property and all. I've actually never rented space before.

I don't care if it's heated. I just want a place to put it so I can put my daily driver in the garage this winter.

It doesn't work when your battery is dead. The ironic thing about it for me is the two cars with garage spots have remote start and heated seats, the car that's outside has neither!

Do any of your neighbors have a three car garage that you could try to rent for the winter? Just a thought.
The storage facility that I use is like public storage. They don't care aabout gas in the car, but there is no electricity to put the battery on a tender so I usually visit once a week to start it and I put a jump box on it for a half an hour each time during the really cold months.

I too had this problem... after 10years of saying it and 2 trucks later, I finally got remote start. Bee in the garage is the only one with heated seats tho... WTF?? lol
