They can collect all the info that they want, but I dont think you signed up for them to call you and harass you about breaking the law by not wearing your seat belt. Thats disturbing your quite use and enjoyment of your property and invading your privacy. If you tell them never to call you again and they do, I wonder if it would fall into the catagory of telephone harassment. The law does not favor supporting and enforcing this type of vanilla boiler plate legal jargon between large corporations and consumers, because they know most people dont have time to read thru it all or dont get the chance to read it all before they sign up for it at the dealership . Any ambiguity in what it does or does not cover would be interpreted against its drafter. (onstar) I would be curious to know if this is an isolated incident or not.
