  • Siding Contractor/Installer

Anybody have a contact/history with a Siding Installer/Contractor? Going to be residing the house, and in need of some quotes. I'd prefer to not just pick a name out of the phonebook/google results! Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks!

This is always tough, but you want to make sure that you find some information about the company before starting. Google is a great place to do this, but you will want to look for the quality companies to start. Have you thought about angie's list?

No, I hadn't thought of Angie's list, per se... any idea what Angie's list access costs?

Please avoid angies list. It's a scam. You pay to get on there and once someone does a review on a company angies list contacts them and wants them to pay to be an accredited business. Then they have to pay to send out deals to the customers.
I have heard some people say they have had bad experiences.
Word of mouth is way better.
If you go with the guy I posted I gaurantee you will be happy. I've been with him on jobs so I know how he operates personally. He goes around to just about every job and talks to the workers and the customers to make sure everything goes smoothly and the customer is happy. He strongly believes in having a perfect reputation because it pays off in the long run.
He does do free estimates btw

Hmm. Would A&D do a partial facia repair? I had a piece taken down by a storm.

                    Avoid Angie's List... Check!

I'll be making some phone calls, but we're going to be out of town for most of the next three weeks, so hopefully we'll get it squeezed in.

Bill, were you going to send me the contact info for the guy you used?

The A & D crew starts the demolition tomorrow! Thanks for the referral. Dustin has been very accommodating, and has been very easy to work with thus far.

hey be careful its suppose to rain bigtime tomorrow night, dont want to leave anything open at the end of the day and its going to be windy too so tarping is not a good option. I cant tell you how many of those cases I have had over the years, LOL

Hrmm well, we'll see how it goes, I guess. Weather channel says 50% - 60% chance of rain tomorrow night to thursday morning. House won't have Tyvek wrap complete and inspected until Friday afternoon, baring weather delays. First step after removing siding is the 1/4 fan fold insulation.
