Another one rear-ended

Seriously, I want to know what it is with these cars that's causing us to all get rear ended like this..

Claim is filled -- but, I don't trust the other person's carrier to not send me to a crap shop.. No way in hell my car is going to a low budget shop and coming back half right. I may not be a master waxer, but I'm not going to have my car repaired by just anyone.

So... Now apparently I have to fill out this little police report and send it back in and then appear in court in Sept.. Awesome and on Kim's birthday no less..

wow, that sucks. Well that's what uninsured motorist coverage is for. Hopefully your rates won't go up. Your ins company will likely try to sue the person who hit you, but If they can't afford insurance and having a totaled car, they probably won't get anything.

At least everyone involved is ok.

You do NOT NOT NOT have to go where they tell you. They may have preferred shops, and Pete's might be one of them, but you can take it anywhere you want.

Pete repainted my bumper because it got scratched. It came back looking better than it did when it came off the dealer lot. I wouldn't even think of going anywhere else.

Have any of you ever had an insurance company want to inspect your cars for milage? I've had my camaro since February. I've had it out twice - both times to Pete's - it has 180 miles on it. They want me to prove I don't drive it to school or work. I have two other cars. A 2005 with 1,800 miles on it and a 2000 with 36,600, and a 1988 motorcycle with 1,200 miles and they have never asked about any of them... Just wondering. What a way to treat a princess!!!

SF is billing the lady's insurance.. I'll be dropping it off at Pete's this weekend, so people going to the Open House will probably get to see my busted rear.. heh. I won't be able to make it that weekend -- I have work that night (have to be at the office at 5pm) and I had a BBQ to go to out in Woodstock, but w/ no car I'm stuck and it's too long on public transit for that small window.

I'd like to, but I don't know if it's worth the effort.. I've had 0 interest in my OE wheels and the only real money part on the car is the S/C and that's a special consideration to find another LS3 that's willing to have both our cars top-end swapped at a shop...

I could very well just trade-in as is and be done with it all..

Yeah, State Farm remburses your deductible when they get their money from the other person. My wife had an accident and it was a year before we got our deductible back.

If I made the switch from my Camaro to Vette, this would be my choice. This thing is sweet!
