  • Dealer Markup on the Camaro

  • #2
That's crazy!!! That is why I drove down to Ohio to buy my car. I bought one of the few Camaro's thru the Cash for Clunker program. Trying to find a 2LT V6 with the options I wanted was near impossible because, at the time, almost 80% of the production was for V8's. I looked locally for a Camaro, but all the local dealers either had nothing in stock that would qualify or wanted $3k to $5k over sticker. Stupid dealers!!! I was lucky enough to find my car using spastic squirrel.com and the dealer knew I was driving 6 hours out of my way to purchase my Camaro, and treated my wife and I with great care. Goes to show you that there are great dealers and bad dealers out there!

As with katman, no one had what I wanted. Before I ordered, I asked my local dealer if they were okay with just sticker. They agreed, so I ordered!

Bought mine from the dealer in Oswego back in Sept. Paid $500 under MSRP, no markup. I know that Gjovik Chevrolet in Sandwich has at least 4 on their lot, dunno if there is any markup on them tho. Winter is the time to negotiate!
