  • I need a new dealer

I'm so tired of this one and their stupid antics..

honestly.. If I have to keep track of what person I talked to on what day just to prove to them that they keep changing their story, then I need out.

Called up last week about my messed up wheel (hit the rail on an auto-car wash) and they told me they wouldn't know if my Titanium Pkg would cover the replacement or not, but bring it in and they'd call it up and see..

I also wanted them to replace my missing A/C belt since i had to cut the other one off (still angry about that crap.. 55.00 for a damn belt that shouldn't be broke in the first place).. But, canceled that. Just ordered the part, I'll put it in..

Anyways, I get there this morning to drop it off and the Tech Guy I deal with says that normally, I have to call it in.. They won't talk to the Dealer first.. Well, that's nice.. Not what they told me last week.. Anyways, then he proceeds to ask me about my "contract" papers -- Umm.. don't remember that either from the papers I got back from the dealer, but I'll check at home. The guy says he'll try...

Well, I got a call just before lunch telling me that I should have my contract because that's how that other company gets my name to begin with. I have to come pick up my car and go call in the information to this place like an insurance claim.. Well, that's irritating. I got up early and drove from 3100N to 2800S for this crap for no reason.

To top it off.. The whole time I've been bringing in my car for what I thought was "titanium pkg" covered paint/stripe, etc repair, the dealership was just doing it and paying for it.. That would have been nice had they told me.. Since each time I brought it in, I told them of my pkg and that it should be covered.

Seriously.. This dealer sucks big time.. It's always a circus with them. They're hard to reach on the phone... They pretty much require that I tell them who I spoke to for every little thing. Just to prove their issues to them.

Any decent dealers in Chicago? --- I mean actual Chicago. Not "Chicago" area.

I'm really getting tired of this Vendor/Dealer crap.. Makes me not even want to own this car anymore.

My dealer isn't a sponsor but they've taken care of me, I'm just not sure if you would want to come all the way out to Wheeling or not. It's Bill Stasek.

The only dealer that ever satisfied me was a Cadillac dealer. I still go to them for non-warranty stuff like engine/trans oil changes. I have had to deal with nonsense from pretty much every other dealer.

I dont see why you wouldnt want to check out a dealer in the "Chicago" area. If they take care of you who cares where they are but thats just me. Hope all goes well

I don't think he wants to drive to the burbs for service, just as I wouldn't want to drive to the city.

I have a friend who's a GM rep to the dealers, I'll see if he has any recommendations.

Priz has it right.. I live and work in Chicago.. I'm around 3100N/2200W and I work around 0/0, so dropping the car off in the Burbs simply isn't an option so I require a Dealer actually in the city. I'm also a 1 driver 1 car person, so I don't have people to ferry me around all the time.

I would love to be able to use some of the dealers I've seen talked about here before, but that's simply not an option.

I've thought about Grossinger before.. I'll call and check them out.. They're much closer to me than my current one.

                      Thanks,

I talked to my friend who works for GM. He suggested the Rogers AutoGroup, Brad Rogers -Service Director. You can tell them that Mike Bishop sent you there (he''s their GM rep). My friend works directly with the dealers for GM, so if you have issues let me know and I can communicate that .

Now that I look at where you went 2800s, I am worried my recommendation is the dealer in question.
