  • I have been BETRAYED!

So last week I go home for the weekend only to find out that my older brother bought a Challenger R/T . I had been talking to him about getting a Camaro and he said he was thinking about it. Dad brought me up being GM loyal so getting a Dodge was a slap in the face although at least its not a Ford.

So after getting a good look at the Challenger and driving it I came to the conclusion that its honestly not worth the pricetag. A fully loaded R/T will come to about the same you can get a fully loaded SS for about $37k. Yea it looks good (retro) and the ride is really smooth but thats about all it has going for it. The R/T has 370hp but upon start up it doesn't sounds like an average car. People complain about the Camaro exhaust but the R/T's is worse. People also say the Camaro interior is crap but IMO the Challenger's is that much better if at all.

Just to make sure my opinions aren't completely bias I asked my younger brother. He also said the although it looks good there's no way its better than the Camaro especially for being around the same cost. I was glad to here that when he gets his car (sometime later this year) it will also be a Camaro. So we will have a new member later this year and he's already saving for his mods LOL. Ohh well I guess my older brother will have to settle for being 3rd best after my little brother gets his car

Well at least it looks nice. I saw an awesome looking "toxic orange pearl" challenger in a dealer's lot by McHenry and I couldn't stop staring. It looked so nice with the sun shining on it! It really is a beautiful color. If anybody is traveling on Route 31 in the area, you should definitely take a look...

But for the money, I'm more than glad I bought the Camaro... At least no GM cars have caught on fire recently like the Dodge: http://www.autoblog.com/2011/04/11/v...y-blossom-par/

personally i like the challenger and would like to have a 392 sitting next to my camaro within a few years.

The challenger's price tag is high but it also comes with more such as the navigation and keyless n go system.

I also wish the camaro had an evic like the challenger that has 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, and 0-60 timers, and also a gforce meter.

I have the firing squad here ready and waiting for you.

            T.
The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.

The 392 does look sick but the dealer that he bought his car from has it for $49k no thanks. Thats ZL1 money right there.

LOL thats Dodge for you. I heard the very first Challengers in their first production year could have a problem where the wheels would fly off while driving or something like that.
