This is what Bloomington-Normal was doing at 2am last night to remove the piled up snow that was on the sides of streets. They moved it all into the center of the street and used a gigantic snow blower to put it in dump trucks.

Definitely trying to save money I have heard. Rand Rd. (Rt. 12), Lake Cook Rd., Algonquin Rd. (Rt. 62) all had lanes that abruptly go back and forth between two and then down to one lane in the same direction -- very dangerous -- lots of close calls and people abruptly merging...
